Do you think this could be skin cancer developing? Should I get it checked? (Photo)

I had this red dot on my nose for months now. It was not that noticeable at first but now it seems to be getting redder. It looks like a Red pore. Doesn’t hurt or anything. Nothing happens if I squeeze it. And it’s not raised up. It’s just a pore. I’m scared this is some kind of skin cancer or developing skin cancer.

If you have a suspicion or concern I'd always recommend an in-person office visit with a board-certified dermatologist, we can only judge so much from the photo. That being said, a long-standing red area on the nose can be benign (rosacea, hemangioma, spider angioma, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, or a stubborn area of folliculitis). It can also be something that's not benign (a precancer called actinic keratosis, or a basal cell carcinoma which is a skin cancer would be at the top of my list based on the photo provided.
