Thank you for your question regarding Radiesse. Our clinic typically tell patients to expect 2-3 days of swelling post injection. Swelling and bruising vary from patient to patient. It is also important to keep in mind that you will be more swollen in the morning, but it should subside throughout the day. Arnica is a great supplement that can be purchased over the counter to help with bruising. To be sure, see two or more experienced, licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.
This varies tremendously from patient to patient and from session to session. Radiess is one of the thicker products that requires a relatively larger needle to deliver. There is a slightly greater potential for bleeding and bruising for this reason. You can minimize bruising by avoiding aspirin and motrin like products, etc. prior to injection and afterwards apply ice, elevate, compress, and minimize strenous exercise. Thank you for your question. Radiesse is not a good filler for the fine lines around the mouth. Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm is better for this area. Also, hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if you are unhappy with the results, whereas Radiesse cannot. I recommend...
Radiesse will be resorbed and replaced by collagen over time. Smile muscles are delicate. It's a good thing that silicone was not used because smile muscles can be permanently impaired with silocone injections! Since Radiesse "goes away', your smile should recover with time.
Not only is laser resurfacing such as Fractional CO2 laser or Refirme laser should be fine after filler injection, filler injection to minimize deep valleys can make subsequent laser resurfacing work even better by providing a more taut skin. There is no clinical study to my knowledge that...
