1 day post op, how long will fragments stay in eye after laser surgery?

My tag is not a regular type floater Will it go away ? Will I need surgery other then laser if this last laser treatment does not take care of this problem? I also have congenital nystagmus. Dr. said I have a tag a result of cataract surgery last March. I now have many particles flying around 1 day after yesterday's surgery. How long should it take to not see and fragments in my eye?

Sound like you had a Yag Laser. There could be floaters for a few days after the procedure but they usually go away quickly.In the rare case they persist. You have 3 options:a) do nothingb) Try laser vitreolysis - or laser for floaters as it is sometimes called. This works best for distinct floaters.c) Pars plana vitrectomy for more numerous floaters or for clouds or stringy cotton candy looking floaters.
