Retin A and Microdermabrasion; left with little thin wrinkles?

Retin A gave me wrinkles under my eye and cheek area. I am 30 years old. I used prescription retin A for my under eye area for a few weeks,now I am left w/ little thin wirnkles under my eye and cheek area. How can I make this better? I asked a dermatologist, and they just told me that it would go away because my skin would just peel, but it has been over a year, it has only gotten worse. Should I do micro dermabrasion? I have genetically thin skin, but not so thin that I can't have treatments

HiI wouldn't recommend Microdermabrasion for the delicate eye area. Something like the new 'Perk' treatment would rejuventae and nourish the area for you whilst providing a brightening effect. Kind regards

Thank you for your question. This happens when you apply the Retin- A too close to the eye area. Retin-A should be applied as a small pea size amount to the entire face avoiding the eye and lip area. However, you can apply the Retin-A up to the orbital bone as it will travel to the under eye area and give you the anti-aging benefits you desire without the over drying effect. At this point, I recommend using a hydrating eye cream under your eyes.  I do not recommend microdermabrasion on the eye area due to the fact that the skin is much thinner and more delicate and could be severely damaged with microdermabrasion. However, I do recommend a Silk Peel Dermal Infusion eye treatment be done on the area. This treatment will plump and re hydrate your skin alleviating the issues you are experiencing. For best results, multiple treatments are recommended. Hope this was helpful.
