What are the chances that PRK surgery made my eyes worse?

About 16 months ago I had PRK surgery with monovision. While independently, my eyesight seems to be ok, my eyes don't seem to work together. My vision is blurry using both eyes, they water and burn and get cloudy. I had a very difficult recovery and really don't want to go through this surgery again. Is there any other treatment or something I could do at home to help?

Your symptoms of eyestrain are most likely attributable to an intolerance of the mono vision correction that was calculated into your PRK procedure. Most patients can adjust to it but there are many who don't appreciate the blurriness of vision in the under corrected eye. The mono vision can be reversed with a revision PRK or you could always return to wearing a single contact lens in the under corrected eye.
