I'm looking into getting braces and my Orthodontist has recommended extraction of just one premolar (upper). I had thought premolars were normally removed in pairs to keep symmetry, would this cause an off-center smile? I've searched and can't find much information nor any before/after pictures of just one premolar removal for braces. So any advice would be appreciated thanks. I've attached a picture that very closely resembles my smile for reference.
