Fell on my front tooth two months ago and it cracked but did not break. Hurt on and off and was sensitive to cold so it was root canaled by an endo. Dentist recommends a post but I have been reading dental research that posts can actually fracture teeth as compared to teeth without them. Tooth has already been readied for a post so it's got a bigger empty canal than if I had just had a root canal. Just worried that since the tooth is already fractured the post may lead to worse outcomes
