Porcelain crowns can correct crooked teeth but a better solution may be porcelain veneers.  Porcelain veneers require less tooth reduction (shaving) leaving more healthy tooth structure  to support the porcelain restorations. If your gums show when you smile, you may also want to consider crown lengthening before correcting crooked teeth with either porcelain crowns or porcelain veneers in order to get a more perfect smile.

The color of teeth or veneers is very individual for each person.  In my opinion each tooth should be made from many colors mixed together, even if they are all the whitest shades, because the most beautiful natural teeth are not one uniform color.  Most veneers that I see are very uniform in color which creates a monochromatic look.  The best teeth in Hollywood are white but a custom mix of many different colors.

Ceramic restorations can give exquiisite results when taken care of by experienced and trained cosmetic dentist.  Ideally a diagnostic wax up will be made prior to starting treatment.  This will include study models and photos.  This allows you to preview the expected final product prior to having the work completed.In my office we bring the patient in a few days after placing the provisional restorations to make any final corrections before finishing the case.I have seen countless cases where patients are unhappy with their final restorations that could have been avoided by utilizing provisionals and then letting the patient preview the final results.  The color of provisionals will not match ceramic exactly the the size, shape and position of the teeth can be verified and the final ceramic restorations are prettier than the composite/acrlic provisionals.
