My teeth seem to relapse pretty fast even in retainers, perhaps because the clear retainers have give and the Hawleys don't cover all surfaces of my teeth. I had premolar extractions + widening (not palatal, just teeth). Is there a combination of retainers that are best for prevent a narrowing & inward collapse of my teeth? I'm noticing my smile keeps narrowing and my upper incisors keep extruding. Also, could bone loss from my premolar extractions be continuing 3 years after extraction?

You are an ideal candidate for clear aligner therapy (Invisalign, etc.). Clear aligners are more comfortable to wear than braces and much more hygienic.
