I'm 56 years old and had revision monovision Lasik 9 days ago and my left eye us still blurry. Is this normal?

I'm sorry that you are having a difficulty adapting to monovision. It can take some time to adjust to this new vision. Ideally, you would try contact lenses prior to simulate the correction. With monovision, one eye is fully corrected for seeing far and the other is adjusted so that near vision is clear. However, the eye that is set for up close vision will be blurry at far. Since both eyes are no longer clear at the same time and distance, it can cause focusing issues. I would give it another 1-2 months and if you are still uncomfortable, return to your LASIK doctor to discuss your options. You may consider full distance correction on both eyes and wearing reading glasses for near work. 

I am disappointed that your physician did not more carefully explain everything to you. It is the duty of a physician to explain the common potential problems to a patient. It generally takes about 3 months to adapt to monovision. It is important to be very patient during this healing and adaption period. If after that time you are still not satisfied, and your physician does not provide adequate answers, please go get a second opinion.
