I want to reassure you that PicoWay Resolve 1064 nm does not destroy fat. The “cavitation” it creates is very different from the cavitation used in ultrasonic fat-reduction treatments. PicoWay produces a type of optical, microscopic cavitation that happens only within the dermis and stays extremely localized. It’s designed to trigger collagen and improve pigmentation, not to affect deeper tissue.

Ultrasonic cavitation, on the other hand, creates strong mechanical pressure waves that are meant to rupture fat cells, which is why it works for body contouring. Even though the 1064 nm wavelength can travel deeper into the skin, the picosecond energy used in PicoWay is very small and tightly focused, so it doesn’t reach or impact the fat layer.
