I was in the process of getting a bridge added for a missing tooth. I got the temp in but before I could go back for the actual bridge my former dentist went out of business and I was screwed. Now my temp is yellow and it's very obvious and makes my smile ugly. I can't really afford the procedure right now but I was wondering if there is anything I could do to lighten it a little to hold me over until I can afford a replacement?

You do not need to do bone graft for a bridge to replace a missing tooth. Even if you have defect on your ridge on front teeth and you are not happy with it due to cosmetic, you will be able to fix it with soft tissue graft.
I think my colleagues have answered your questions thoroughly. Long term, you will likely be much happier with implants then a bridge. Of course, every individual is unique with their own individual set of circumstances - timing, appetite for a number of dental appointments,...
I would go back and have it adjusted unless your appointment is right around the cornor... When the final bridge is tried in just wear it with temporary cement for a few days to make sure your pleased good luck
