In CTE and AGA, what is the significance of shed hairs between 3 to 5 cm versus hairs under 3 cm and over 5cm? Also, does the width of these hairs make a difference to a diagnosis?

In AGA, hairs get thinner and progressively shorter. Hairs less than 3 cm are INFREQUENTLY seen in CTE. Hair less than 3 cm are FREQUENTLY seen in AGA.  Hair collections are sometimes challenging to interpret. If you are going to do one, see an expert for interpretation.

ıf you have baldness because og AGA  length of your hair does not change any thing. But ıf you have a long hair, big mass hair , you feels shedding effects more compare to a short hair.

When balding occurs, the hair shafts start to thin (miniaturization) in the impacted areas. The length can also be limited at the leading edge of recession for men.
