Is it possible to convert an All-on-4 to a snap on? Can you get a new bridge made for the existing implants ?

Yes, your overcase can be converted to attachments which would be fixed-removable..Cost of surgery would not be involved and thus less expensive than your first outlay..however cost can be somewhat substantial for changing our attachments and new over case..Good luck.

Hi Jinxdnjaded,I am so sorry to hear you are unhappy with your smile. As for your question regarding the All on 4 to Snap on process, yes it can be done but may be tricky. You see when an all on 4 is complete the posterior (back) implants are placed at an angle for strength. Sometimes that angle interfere with a snap on denture, and the same goes for bridges, but I suggest going to the doctor who placed your implants and see if you can work out a procedure to get your facial structure and self esteem back.Good luck!

A less known option to convert an All on Four restoration is the Deutsch Removable Bridge.  The existing implants are used for the new restoration, and it has all the benefits of the All on Four (no covering of the roof of the mouth, chews/functions like it was screwed in place), yet is easily removed to clean and maintain.

there is alway a possibility of switching to a snap on denture(bridge),but the problem will be the abutments the doctor will need to remove the multiunits, and switch to o ball, the only problem that they might find is the angulation of the implants if they reallly did the all on 4 protocol, you have 2 tilted implants and 2 straight per arch.now each case is different, and i still do not know why you did not like the results, provably your doctor was a good surgeon, but not a good prosthodoncist.this can be fixed and you can have great results.send some pictures of your case.
