How to reduce perioral mounds and jowls? (photos)

I am curious to know recommendations on how to reduce the fat around my mouth down into my jawline. As seen in my photos, it's quite prominent and these were taken when I was at my thinnest weight.

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

Thank you for your question! There are several approaches that aesthetic practices may take when it comes to jowls and the lower face in general. In our practice, we would start by doing a full face evaluation on you to determine whether or not the jowls are being caused by some volume loss in the upper third of the face (very common culprit). This volume should be replaced before considering volume replacement in the lower face, particularly around the mouth, to avoid over-filling and becoming imblanaced. Additionally, various radiofrequency-microneedling options are available to tighten the skin and reduce bulk where desired. The Agnes Precision RF device is one of our favorites for small areas.
