On day 4 I was red with a rash, mild itching and uncomfortable like a sunburn. Peeling is light and flaky, but has lasted 5 days and not done yet. Today is day 6, I woke up flaky, dry and only a light pink at apple of cheeks. But, swollen on both cheeks and under eyes. The surface of my skin seems to be healing, but I'm worried about the sweeping.

First of all you should not be putting this on at home. Acid is nothing to play with. you have post inflammatory hyperpigmentation which is not easy to treat. See a board certified dermatologist
A light glycolic acid peel usually does not produce any bumps afterward. Was something applied after the peel that may have done this? at any rate this should clear without any sequelae
