Why did the BBL HERO not work?

I am sorry that you were disappointed with your expensive supposedly "next big thing" light therapy. But, I am not at all surprised. I have been cautioning my regular followers for years that, unfortunately, the hard science to back up the use of these expensive "bells and whistles" devices lags well behind the heavy social media promotion and marketing hype surrounding them. On the other hand, there are less expensive tried and true means for lightening unwanted freckles, solar entigines, and keratoses that are less expensive and have stood the test of decades' long track records for both safety and efficacy. You would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best of luck.

This is difficult to answer without seeing your photos before and after but some reasons why you may not have seen the results you desire might be
1) spots are moles and not freckles2) need more BBL treatments3) continued sun exposure with new freckles forming
If the clinic has a picolaser or q Switch pigment laser it might be worthwhile trying
