I had braces once before and had them on for about 3 years. Its been about 6 years since they've been off and I've experienced some ortho. relapse. Can anyone provide some insight as to whether I should shoot for invisalign , invisalign express, or traditional braces. Im more concerned about the duration and less about the expenses. Please help !
Answer: Invisalign Express It appears as if your teeth would require more movement than Invisalign Express can deliver in ten aligners.

Answer: Invisalign Express It may work fine BUT the Express product does not allow the dentist to do much in the way of refining the result if you do not achieve the results in the 10 aligners this product provides. You would have to absolutely be compliant with your doctor's wear instructions to have a chance. No excuses -- 22 hours a day. No excuses -- get attachments. No excuses -- have the IPR (sandpaper) treatment if called for.

Answer: Invsialign vs Invisalign Express vs Traditional braces Dear Cedwards640,Thank you for posting your question on Real Self. I will do my best to answer your question with the information given. Your concern regarding your treatment options is a legitimate one. After reviewing the photos that you presented, I would recommend the Invisalign full treatment. You definitely would see improvement with the Express treatment, but I don't think that you would be satisfied with the results especially since you have already been through treatment before. From the photos, I am unable to advise whether braces would be more time efficient. If I were you, I would be less concerned with duration and more concerned about achieving optimal aesthetics and occlusion with proper retention in the end for stability. :)I hope that this helps and wish you the best of luck with your treatment!Best,Dr. Jenn

Answer: Looks like not an Express case From the pictures you provided and using my vast experience with Invisalign, it appears that Express case which is limited to 10 aligners, will not be able to move the teeth sufficiently to make you happy. Even if you file down between the teeth significantly to move them faster, the cosmetic outcome would be compromised. It seems to me that full case would be more conservative for your teeth (less filing down), and will achieve optimal results, plus with Complete Invisalign you will get a chance for additional aligners that are included in the case in case you would need more fine tuning to provide ideal results.

Answer: Invisalign? You can certainly get a big improvement with express-10--(20 weeks)the teeth would need to be slimmed a little to go faster--conventional invisalign would be more ideal over 12-14 months with good retainage afterwards
