Lifting a scar with with a dense filler like Voluma is an important component of CO2 scar treatments. It is safe and effective to perform CO2 ablative laser immediately following the injection of Voluma to lift scars. If you and your physician prefer to have some time between the treatments that will be equally as effective. In my experience, repeating treatments at 6 months should be considered. Combining other treatments, such as a skin care program (like ZO), meso therapy, and PRP will be of additional benefit. For best results, find an experienced physician and start with a comprehensive treatment plan to prepare your skin and build out a strategy that fits your budget and schedule from there. Fillers such as Juvederm Voluma are usually placed deeper then the depth at which a CO2 laser would treat. You should be okay to proceed with the CO2 laser also though I would mention your recent filler treatment to your treating physician.

Voluma is placed in the deep fat and much lower than the depth that an ablative laser will penetrate so you should be safe. My only advice is to consider Renuvion which is much more effective than CO2 or Erbium. A skype or facetime consultation with a Vaser specialist would be helpful.

Controversial - some do immediately, I separate one week apart due to swelling of filler and reports of increased infection (not studies - just case reports) of filler and laser.
