What are my options for products that encourage growth at the hairline?

There are a few reasons for hair loss in the hairline. The most common one is pattern hair loss (female or male pattern hair loss). In this case, minoxidil may be a good place to start. Some oils do have some efficacy (rosemary and pumpkin being the most studied and advertised), but there are not many comparative studies demonstrating how effective they are. In fact, there was one study comparing rosemary oil with 2% minoxidil that showed that they work the same. However, in real life we use 5% minoxidil, so we truly do not know if rosemary oil is indeed as effective as minoxidil.

However, I would strongly advise you to see a board-certified dermatologist who will look at your scalp carefully using a magnifying lenses (trichoscopy). There are some conditions (lichen planopilaris or frontal fibrosing alopecia) that can start at the hairline and need more aggressive treatment.

Hello, you can try to use medications as finasteride and minoxidil that are FDA approved medications for hair loss and hair growth. If they do not give the results that you desire you may consider hair transplant for restoring your hairline.
