Question

I have a tooth, that had a root canal done, that had a Crown on top. The crown cracked off. The dentist said it could have popped off due to the Short Tooth, my overbite, and my Clenching. I want to see if Invisalign can correct this BEFORE I get another crown. As well as my bottom teeth are crowded anyways. What is the Shortest Period I could fix this in? It is embarrassing to be my age with braces or Invisalign. Which is faster? Thanks

Braces should fix most, if not all, of your problems. Invisalign would not be a good option for you. What you have is a deep, class II bite. You might also have TMJ problems as fully 80-90% of females with your type of bite also suffer from TMJ Dysfunction. Your lower jaw is trapped back too far due to your upper retroclined front teeth. An ideal treatment would be to upright all of your posterior teeth, change the backward tilting upper front teeth to their ideal position and allow your lower jaw to come forward thus improving your profile, your airway and your TMJ then open your bite to eliminate your deep bite. This could all be accomplished in 18 months or less.Good luck!
