Occasional nipple discharge 2 years post augmentation?

It can be perfectly normal for women who have been pregnant or breastfed to have a clear nipple discharge for several years following a breast augmentation.  The main concern in regards to nipple discharge is if the discharge is bloody or if you experience discharge and you have never been pregnant.  To ease your mind, you can have your prolactin level checked to rule out a pituitary adenoma.  I would discuss this with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or with your OB/GYN.

Thank you for your question. Some women do get nipple discharge soon after surgery, but it stops. Since it's occurring two years after your breast augmentation,  I would recommend getting a mammogram and possibly an ultrasound.  There are conditions that occur behind the nipple to create discharge regardless of having an implant or not.  Since it's clear, it's likely benign, but I highly recommend having this issue investigated.
