Vivace or Secret RF for treating mild skin laxity & icepick & rolling acne scars?

What's in a name? Apparently a whole lot when it comes to be hoodwinked by social media and marketing hype for this or that expensive "bells and whistles" devices out there whose hard science to support their use lags woefully behind the enormous hype. Perhaps a far better question might be, "What are techniques for improving ice pick scars and rolling scars that have stood the test of decades of proven safety and efficacy?" Well, unlike the expensive "bells and whistles" gizmos out there with catchy names that are typically "here today and gone tomorrow," TCA CROSS has been successfully treating ice pick scars and dilated pores for over two decades and subcision has been elevating and smoothing rolling and boxcar scars for nearly three decades--and both procedures have proven themselves safe and effective in all skin types, something that also cannot be said about the the whole array of supposedly "next big thing" devices that are being hawked to the public these days. If both your ice pick scars and rolling scars are indeed mild, you may even find relatively inexpensive,, simple professionally performed manual microneedling helpful. You would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist and await his/her treatment suggestions before chiming in because if you suggest some expensive, yet-to-be-proven gizmo with a catchy name, you may unfortunately just get what you asked for. RF Microneedling is an excellent modality to address acne scars and skin laxity. Versus the traditional ablative lasers, there is less downtime and less risk of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, infection or scarring.
In my experience SecretRF is safe and effective and will require 3-5 sessions spaced a month apart for best results. I have not used vivace so will not be able to comment.

Our office uses the Secret RF and it has been very effective in treating skin textures as well and laxity. We recommended 3-4 treatments about a month apart for the most benefits. A touch up session is recommended every 6 months to maintain your results. Topical PRP can also be applied after each Secret RF session to promote healing and collagen production to give you more glow and skin tightening.
