White gum after back tooth removed and bone graft for dental implant. Is this normal?

As long as no infection, it should be fine If you are not sure ,or have symptoms of infection , it is better to see your surgeon The pain should get better few days after surgery. If it doesn’t , or you develop more swelling and pain ,  we might be dealing with an infected graft ...Sometimes the outer layer of gum tissue covering the site could become white and slough off ... as long as bone graft is not exposed/ infected .... it should be ok ....

If you aren't having any abnormal pain, it's probably fine. As the tissue heals, it will be soft until it matures. Without a picture, I can't tell you what the white part is. It's either the material that was placed in the socket or it's the tissue healing. You're mouth is always wet, so it's like if you have a scab and sit in the bath. The scab will turn white. So most surgical sites will have white tissue in the mouth.
