Hello smileymommy.  You are correct.  Redness, swelling, pussy discharge are all possible signs of infection.  It looks like you have permanent sutures in your incision so it is also possible that you are having a reaction to those.  It is always recommended that you contact your original surgeon first if possible for any concerns.  Most offices will have an option for patients to contact the physician on call for the practice or an after hours line for concerns.  In any case, you need to get your incision looked at as soon as you can.  In the meantime, keep your incision clean as best as possible with antibacterial soap and water and refer to the post op instructions that your surgeon gave you.
