Yes it is okay to have pasta and butter after whitening. You will want to stay away from dark stainings foods and drinks for a day or so. Once you do have them be sure to brush after to avoid unwanted staining.
After teeth whitening it is best to avoid foods with significant colour (red wine/curry for example) for at least 2 weeks as the whitening will have caused the enamel prisms to slightly demineralise and so the teeth will be more vulnerable to staining. Pasta and butter should be no problem at all.
