Overcorrected eye 1 week after LASIK, will it regress?

I had my Lasik surgery 8 days ago. My prescription was Left Eye -8 and Right Eye -7.25. At my 1 week check up my right eye is plano, but my left eye is +1.00. Is this likely to regress as time goes on? As I'm having trouble at work (I'm a graphic designer) with one eye blurry.

It is still very early in your healing process. The prescription in your left eye may change and go away as you are fully healed. Keep up with the preservative free artificial tears every two hours and try to limit computer usage.

Both eyes are always overcorrected during Lasik in order to compensate for the "bounce back" tendency of the eyes after Lasik. One eye may take longer to adjust. Give yourself at least 3 weeks before getting any sort of anxiety about the situation. Also make sure to keep your eyes out of direct AC and use plenty of tear drops, these will keep your eyes lubricated.

It may regress to your desired result. Lubricate often with preservative free drops. Make sure the most experienced refractionist checks you at your next visit. I don't trust the machine autuomated refractions much.
