Hello, I am male at 45 age with NW 1 and have done a 870 graft job on my temples, and wonder if I can use Spironolactone instead of Propecia to inhibit more receding since mane in my mothers family have NW 3? Propecia gave me neurological problems just after 3 pills and I don`t want to use topical stuff. The feminization effect of Spironolactone wouldn`t bother me even if it turns me to a female.

Thanks for your question. I can completely understand your hesitation in stopping the doxycycline, but I agree with your dermatologist - you don't want to be on antibiotics for too long, and it probably is not really working anymore at this point. I would encourage you to talk to...
Don't worry, nothing is wrong with you!! The first thing they teach us in pharmacology class in med school is "any medication is capable of causing any side effect" You are just sensitive to it.
Spironolactone is actually a diuretic that happens to be very effective...
Yes. Spironolactone can cause irregular bleeding so it is possible that that is what is going on. However, It is a good idea to go see your doctor and make sure nothing else is wrong to be safe and to make sure that you are not pregnant as well.
