What is the best way to remove eyebrow tattoos?

Question

I have an eyebrow tattoo of 12 years (almost faded but not completely). I would like to know what's the best solution to removing them. I decided to remove them for since I had them done I never liked them. They a badly drawn(uneven) and I look severe with them. Been suffering for all these years really. I'm a bit sceptical of lasers as I have read bad reviews about scarring. I don't want scars on my face. Can we fade them naturally? If lasers are the only solution which are the best in the UK?

Thank you for your question. It is not recommended to have laser removal on tattooed makeup. This is because most of the ink used for tattoo makeup is not the same as used on the body as they contain metals, such as iron. This can result in the tattoo turning a rusty brown or black color. Please remember to thoroughly research a physician before proceeding with treatment. Best of Luck!

Hello and thank you for your question.  We are frequently asked about this.  In our practice we use the PicoSure laser by CynoSure, which is FDA approved for tattoo removal but not recommended for permanent makeup removal.  The reason that lasers are generally incompatible with permanent makeup removal is that you may actually experience a darkening of the tattoo, which is exactly the opposite of the outcome that you are seeking.  This is likely due to the iron oxide or metallic component commonly found in permanent makeup ink.  Therefore, at this time, we do not recommend using laser treatment for removal.
