Answer: Sensitivity after #crowns #DrSoftTouch Hello there,It's not uncommon to experience some sensitivity after having a crown placed. If the prep was close to your nerve, you may experience sensitivity for a few weeks. I would recommend allowing some time for your tooth to heal. If the issue persists, a bite adjustment or root canal treatment may be necessary. Good luck and I hope this helps. Answer: Sensitive Teeth After Crowns This can be normal to have some sensitivity following crown placement. If it is not better in a week I would have your dentist check your bite. If the sensitivity gets worse or begins to linger for a period of time there could be a nerve problem in a tooth resulting In a root canal. I doubt this is the case though.

Answer: Sensitivity after Crowns Thank you for your inquiry. We're sorry to hear about your sensitivity, but this can be common after crown treatments. Your dentist will be able to check your bite to ensure your occlusion is ideal so that any discomfort from your bite can be alleviated. It's important you continue to monitor your temperature sensitivity. If you become sensitive to colds as well or if your hot sensitivity increases/lingers, then check with your dentist again or see an endodontist (root canal specialist) to see if a root canal is needed. Root canals can be common after treatment is done to a tooth since the nerve may have been affected. Give it a bit more time to heal and then re-evaluate in about one week and see if your symptoms have subsided or increased at that time. We hope this helps and best of luck to you!

Answer: Teeth sensitivity Teeth can sometimes exhibit symptoms of hypersensitivity after crown placement. I would recommend giving it some time to heal. Your symptoms will most likely subside in a few weeks. If you do not see any improvement or if your symptoms worsen over time, then you should contact your dentist.

Answer: Permanent crowns It is common to have some sensitivity following the placement of a new crown. It sounds as though it is somewhat improving, but not completely gone yet. I would say that you should give it more time. If it does not, then perhaps seeing an endodontist for the potential need for a root canal would be a good idea. Good luck.
