I received Botox a week ago and I have dark circles under my eyes, and I did not have them prior to Botox. It’s almost a purple or blue undertone. It actually goes from under the eye up to the crows feet area, the exact areas where I received treatment. Will this go away?
Answer: Dark Circles after Botox Injections Unfortunately, it is impossible to say for sure why you have the discoloration without at least a few photos. The darkness could be a result of bruising from the injections, although the location of the discoloration is a bit lower than injections would have been placed. You might also be more cognizant of the issue since you have spent time examining your eyes after your Botox treatment. I encourage you to schedule a follow-up appointment with your doctor for an in-person assessment and recommendations.

Answer: Dark Circles after Botox Nobody should have injected "under" your eye specifically in most cases. Most injections should have been lateral to the "under" eye area if you were trying to get relaxation of the Crow's feet. Typically, the furthest toward your nose any injection should have been placed is at the mid pupillary line (google it). Is it possible you are just now paying more attention to the eye area, and noticing dark circles that have been there? Follow up with you provider for an evaluation. Best of luck. Dr. Giordano

Answer: Dark circles after Botox The area you are desrcibing is not where Botox is typically injected. Are you sure your doctor didn’t inject a filler? Fillers under the eye can occasionally lead to bluish discoloration if injected too superficially. Return to your doctor and review what was done and the before and after photos.

Answer: Should I still have dark circles under the eyes 1 week post Botox treatment for lines under the eyes? Thank you for your question. It is hard to comment without seeing before and after pictures. Bruising is possible after any injections, including Botox. They typically resolve within days but can last one to two weeks. Arnica tablets and/or ointment may help speed up the recovery. I recommend following up with your injector. I hope this help. All the best, Dr.Michon
