What type of veneers is best if you grind teeth?

Hi, I will finish my Invisalign in 3 months and I would like to get composite or porcelaine veneers on my 6 superior teeth after my treatment. I'm in college so I don't have a lot of money. I could get better veneers in like 5 years. The thing is that I grit my teeth a lot because of stress and I also drink coffee everyday. I'm afraid that the composite veneers could stain or that I could break the porcelaine veneers when I grit my teeth. What option do you think is the best? Thanks a lot!!

It might not be a bad idea to do 6 veneers made of composite vs porcelain. Done well, composite veneers would look good and would be less expensive than porcelain. Down the road when you can better afford porcelain veneers, you can do them, if you need to. No matter which way you go, you should have a guard made to protect them. One other positive about composite is that is can be repaired more easily than porcelain.   I hope this helps!

You say you are planning on 6 veneers.  I suggest only doing 4 veneers.  The canines are a cornerstone of the front to back transition.  6 veneers almost always look bad. $ veneers gived a big change.   In the future you can do additional veneers.  I typically advise patients to do 4,8 or 10 veneers but never 6  (rare exceptions.For grinding wearing an appliance when you sleep will protect the veneers.  Work with a doctor who understands bite mechanics, man don't.
