Why do I have few red pimples/bumps on my legs a month after laser hair removal? (Photo)

I had my second treatment on my legs. She used a higher level the second time. It’s been a month and I still have about 7-8 red pimples or ingrown hairs on my legs that won’t go away. Is this normal? What cream can I use to get rid of the red pimples/bumps.

It's difficult to tell from your picture. This needs an in-person evaluation. Every so often, we do see an itchy bumpy rash following laser hair removal. This is usually because of irritation of the hair follicles in the treated area, and this can be easily treated with a mild cortisone preparation. I suggest contacting your Dr. for a topical solution. Best, Dr. Emer

It is very difficult to tell from the photos what the nature of the red bumps are.  Laser hair is a fantastic way to permanently reduce hair in the various areas of your body.  There shouldn't be red bumps weeks later so I would consult your treating physician for examination of the area.  Please keep us posted.  Best, Dr. Green

skin discoloration for your skin type might be more prevalant. Before and after procedure make sure you use sunscreen, protect your skin, I think you will your skin color back.
