Where should TWO Emsculpt paddles be placed for abs on a male? What are the risks of them touching?

Thank you for your question! Placement of the paddles varies with each person. Typically if using 2 paddles on an abdomen they would be placed side by sided, however if someone had a longer torso they could be placed upper and lower. There is no danger to the patient if the paddles touch, however the machine would stop treatment, as they should not touch. If there is not adequate room for two paddles on the body not touching, we would use only one. I hope this helps!

The paddle placement is going to vary with the individual. We usually place them on two sides of the abdomen, and I think this makes the most sense for most people. I don't think there is a problem placing them differently in a person with a very long trunk, it is n just not what we have done.
I think that the device has problems if the two paddles touch, I do not think it would shock the patient; however, I would be sure to keep them at least 1/2" to 1" apart just to be sure. WE usually place a rolled up cloth in between the two heads.

Thank you for your question. When using two paddles on the abdomen, we place the paddles on the right and left. There has not been a study done to compare one versus two paddles in terms of outcome. The rational for two paddles is to recruit more of the oblique muscles. There is no risk to the patient if the paddles touch but they should be placed such that they do not.
