Two male friends (similar build/size) got Emsculpt for abs with 2 paddles at same time. For one, the first paddle was on the left side of the abs, the second paddle was on the right side. For the other, the first paddle was on the lower abs, and the second paddle on the upper abs 1) Can practitioners suggest ideal placement for two paddles for abs in a male? 2) What happens if the paddles touch during treatment? Is there electrocution/safety risk? Or just risk to the Emsculpt equipment?
Answer: Emsculpt paddle placement Thank you for your question! Placement of the paddles varies with each person. Typically if using 2 paddles on an abdomen they would be placed side by sided, however if someone had a longer torso they could be placed upper and lower. There is no danger to the patient if the paddles touch, however the machine would stop treatment, as they should not touch. If there is not adequate room for two paddles on the body not touching, we would use only one. I hope this helps!

Answer: Trusculpt ID/FLEX versus Emsculpt for muscular toning that is DANGEROUS and shouldnt be done, trusculpt FLEX does multiple areas at once and is better anyway than emsculpt. also start peptide therapy (see link) to help improve the look of your stomach. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Emsculpt the paddles should be placed next to each other horizontally. It's fine if the paddles touch. There is no electrocution risk

Answer: Emsculpt with 2 paddles The paddle placement is going to vary with the individual. We usually place them on two sides of the abdomen, and I think this makes the most sense for most people. I don't think there is a problem placing them differently in a person with a very long trunk, it is n just not what we have done. I think that the device has problems if the two paddles touch, I do not think it would shock the patient; however, I would be sure to keep them at least 1/2" to 1" apart just to be sure. WE usually place a rolled up cloth in between the two heads.

Answer: Dual Paddles on Abs Thank you for your question. When using two paddles on the abdomen, we place the paddles on the right and left. There has not been a study done to compare one versus two paddles in terms of outcome. The rational for two paddles is to recruit more of the oblique muscles. There is no risk to the patient if the paddles touch but they should be placed such that they do not. I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
