Dentist said I need to see an ENT doc prior to dental implants. Why?

I know that I would need bone grafts and sinus lifts to get the dental implants. Why would I need to see an ENT Specialist first?

Most likely the dentist wants to make sure the sinus are clear and it will not pose any problem in terms of sinus lift.  This is not a bad idea.
