Has this Implant failed? If so, can it be fixed or will it need to be removed? (Photo)

I am 70 years old and had this implant done on tooth#30 18 months ago. For the last 2 months I have noticed that the crown is slightly loose, I can feel it moving when I touch it with my finger. There is no gum swelling or redness but there is a little pain when I chew on it. I went to my regular dentist and after taking an x-ray he told me that the implant has failed. Can it be a loose screw which needs tightening or I have to get the implant removed?
