Can we leave healing abutment without the crown for 3 months?

Have my implant done 5 month ago, now planning for the second stage which is healing abutment, have some long holidays planned so my question is, is it possible to have the healing abutment done and take the impression for crown but have 3 month gap before fixing the crown? Or it hast to be done quick after healing adjusted?

in your case best option is, start abutment phase after holidays. it is not advisable to wait for so long with healing abutment.

If your implants need to be uncovered, you can do that and have healing abutments placed. I would wait until you get back to take the final impressions.  Implants do not move, but the adjacent teeth could drift and this would lead to problems at the delivery if the impressions are taken 3 months earlier.

HI There, you can place healing abutments and do crowns 3 months later.  You just might save yourself a little hassle if you wait until you can do the process from start to finish as your doc suggests.
