Can we leave healing abutment without the crown for 3 months?

Have my implant done 5 month ago, now planning for the second stage which is healing abutment, have some long holidays planned so my question is, is it possible to have the healing abutment done and take the impression for crown but have 3 month gap before fixing the crown? Or it hast to be done quick after healing adjusted?
