Now I’ve already done a ton of research and have found that your hair will return back to its original hair loss stage once you have stopped using minoxidil BUT is this really true ? Say if I got on minoxidil with minimal hair los, would it take more hair away that I have grown naturally? Before I was on it I still had thick luscious hair and now it’s not as thick and looks a lot thinner once I stopped using minoxidil.

If minoxidil is working and you are not having side effects why not stay on it? Whether you taper off quickly or slowly the end result is the same. Minoxidil will only work during the period in which you use it. Should you stop, you likely will experience catch-up hair loss.
While minoxidil works fine for the select few, the problem with the
medicine is that it does not actually stop hair loss. Instead, DHT will
continue is binding to the hair shaft which will eventually overtake any
additional growth caused by the Minoxidil and die, perhaps just
slightly later ...
