Is it safe to use DermaWand after Botox?

Question

I had botox on my 11 lines, I am going to use a DeraWand on my face I think, but am unsure it will work with botox, is it safe to use after (on top of Botox) also are DermaWand all they say they can do or are they just a waste of money ? please enlighten me. I hope this question will help others too. Thank you.

Hi wrinklefree1. Botox does strictly work on the muscles - it sort of shortcircuits the connection so that the muscle remains relaxed. On the other hand, dermawands such as Nuskin works on the muscles and tones them. There is also evidence that the fibroblasts are stimulated to produce more collagen. The end effect is that the muscles are more toned.I would avoid the areas where you had Botox, especially if you just had injections. It probably takes six weeks to see effects so wait and see if you like the results. Discuss the frequency of dermawand with your Injector.All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
