Can an eye that is over correct get a clear glasses prescription?

Question

I had lasik years ago.. I kept telling the doctor I couldn't see clearly.. It was discovered that both eyes were wrong (a few years later.). One was under corrected and the other was over corrected. I will always need glasses. My over corrected eye is blurry even with the prescription the doctor has given me.. Can I get a clear , not blurry prescription?

i agree w the other eye MD who answered your ?
most likely Dx is irregular cornea, you need a corneal topography, and i would strongly suggest a 2nd opinion by a cornea-refractive subspecialist who completed that type of fellowship if you are over in 1 eye and under in the other

If you are blurry and glasses don't fix the problem, then your doctor should consider one of many other diagnoses. Not all eye problems are fixable by glasses. Cataract, macular disease and glaucoma are examples. Corneal irregularities such as irregular astigmatism are also possibilities. Get a topography. Good luck. Make sure you are seeing an ophthalmologist for this not so simple condition.
