Does my xray show any signs of peri-implantitist or dental failure? (Photo)

My implant crown fell off (about 1 1/2yr old crown). I went to my dentist worried that my implant was also failing because the gum around the implant looks red, gum receded, and foil breath, but my dentist says that the implant looks fine and there is no sign of dental implant failure. Based on the xray shown below, does it look like there is any sign of infection or peri implantitis? should I have my dentist just recement the crown back?

Yes, I would have your dentist recement your implant crown, there is no reason not to!Although I don't see any evidence of the implant failing on the x-ray, your dentist would be better able to determine any failure than anyone who has not examined you and been able to probe around the implant to see if any of the interface between the implant and bone is problematic.

Since I don't know your dental history, I will refrain from saying too much. An x-ray can say something, but it won't say everything. You can obtain your dental records and get a second opinion from a periodontist, which is a dental specialist in gums and gum-related surgeries, including implants.

I would recement the crown or consider a crown screwed in. There is no X-ray evidence of implant issues.
