I was diagnosed with vulvar melanoma in 2010. I have had 3 surgeries to remove it and am about to undergo another one. I have never been in a tanning bed and don't do a lot of sun bathing. I have had laser hair removal in the area. Could they be related?

I have been using the Candela Gentle Lase for light skinned patients and the Gentle Yag for darker skin patients. Candela makes excellent lasers. It is most important to find a physician who is experienced with lasers for the best cosmetic results.
There is some redness after laser hair removal which subsides the same or next day. Make sure you consult with board certified dermatologist if pigmentation appear after the redness fades.
