It is very possible that you would be covered for breast reduction surgery. But it depends on your policy, some insurances exclude breast reduction. You can either call your insurance and ask what their requirements are or seek out a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that specializes in breast surgery to help you get authorization. Most insurance companies will want documentation of what you have tried so far, such as: physical therapy, analgesics, special bras etc. Having documentation of everything you have tried will help your surgeon get approval. Some require up to 6 months of physical therapy to strengthen your back and shoulder muscles and "save" you from the surgery.
