Is there anything I can do and or apply to combat rebound flushing from Mirvaso?

Hello, I used Mirvaso for a total of 4 days. I did this back in FEB 2015 this year. I began suffering crazy rebound flusing after. It was red, purple just instense. I am still having flusing since I used this cream. I have not been to work. I can't seem to eat, sleep, deal with any heat. Everything seems to cause flushing. I never had flushing prior to this cream. I have heard you should go back to baseline - but I feel like everything is more dialated and will not. Please help!!!!

Thank you for the question.  Mirvaso has been found to cause a rebound effect in patients.  There is a new alternative that seems to be doing better: Rhofade. The treatment for rosacea is multifactorial - photofacial, sunscreen, avoidance of triggers, antibiotics, soolantra, etc.  Everyone responds differently to treatment regimens

This is a very difficult question to answer with absolute certainty, however IMO combination treatments are often best, this includes finding the best combination for Mirvaso and your type of rosacea. 
Rosacea is very complex and a tailored treatment program give the best results. This is because there are many types of rosacea (telengtctatic or capillaries, flushing and redness, acne like rosacea, ocular rosacea and even rhinophyma rosacea.)
  
To add to the complexity, everyone has different flare factors- Sunlight, stress, foods, chemical irritants, creams, changes in temperature, alcohol. The list goes on. 
  
A detailed history, together with a treatment tailored according to YOUR type of rosacea will give the best results. As a guide, I use a combination of -
  
1. Lasers ( to treat redness, broken capillaries, rhinophyma, flushing)- best laser is the V BEAM. IPL can be used, but usually not as effective. Laser toning using the long pulse Nd Yag at 1064 can help with background redness. 
  
2. Creams - anti inflammatory, including vasoconstriction topicals like Mirvaso 
3. Tablets -anti - inflammatory and sometimes low dose Vitamin A. 
  
4. For females- Mineral make up is recommend, over make up that contains parabens. 
  
For the best results, consult a dermatologist for both medical and laser treatment options.
