I recently had a dental bridge on 29, 30, 31 that has been very uncomfortable for months, what can I do?

After a second opinion, I am in the process of having the bridge redone. Surrounding teeth are not moving at a fast rate (#31 has been gone for over 20 years). Should I just crown #29 & 31 in hopes that stem cell research may be able to regenerate teeth in the future rather than proceed with the second bridge?
