Would it be okay for me to find another dentist to complete my bridge work?

I was in the process of getting some Bridge work done. In the midst of it I had to get root canals and a bunch of other stuff that I don't feel that I needed. Right now I have the temp bridge on and its driving me crazy. I was suppose to go to the lab to get fitted for the new bridges but they are calling me for additional crap they say I need. Plus now all of a sudden may jaw is popping when I open and close. I don't want to go back to them. Please help.
