No, there is no risk of further damage to your tooth if you were to leave this alone. When you see your dentist next, they can smoothen out the rough edge for you and you shoudl be all set.
Hello and thank you for your great question. Based on the picture provided you can wait till you will be back in the US and to fix it. Just stay away from biting forks again...Good luck.
Thank you for your inquiry and time in submitting your tooth photo. We're sorry to hear about your front tooth chipping but are pleased to know that you made an appointment in the upcoming future. You should be just fine and won't damage your tooth any further, but of course you should be careful. Try to avoid biting into anything and if you have a night guard, you can still wear it. We hope this helps put your mind at ease. Good luck to you!
Hi from New York! The chip is extremely small and it probably seems like it is huge to you when you run your tongue over it! It is seems large. I would recommend you do not chew on ice or open up bottle tops with your front teeth but otherwise just take care of it at your next dental visit. They can smooth this out for you! No worries...be happy!
It is unfortunate that you chipped your tooth. It may bother your tongue or lip, as it appears to be sharp. You may have some continued chipping, but only a small amount. When you get to a dentist, he or she can smooth it out. What we do is bond in some filling material to the chipped area and smooth it up quite well. This tends to stop the chipping, relieve the tongue and lip rubbing on it, and usually holds up for a while.Hope that allows you to enjoy your trip!
Good question--No you are not at any increased risk--avoid biting on the edges of your front teeth like biting a fingernail or open a bag of chips or biting a tread--You should be fine---Enjoy you trip!
Hi Gabgen626,The most important thing is to have the tooth evaluated and find out if it was just the fork that caused the chip, or if there are other things causing thinning of the tooth that predisposed it to chipping. It should be okay to leave as-is until you get to your dentist, just be aware that the tooth is more fragile with the chip and use your front teeth accordingly.Good luck!
Hi from South Africa! Please do not be that nervous over this. Sounds to me, at the worst a part of the tooth chipped off in the back and there might be some decay underneath. That can be quickly taken care of with a composite or white filling. Also you can have just chipped an area in the b...
Thank you for inquiry and time in submitting your photo. First off, there's no need to be embarrassed nor scared! Dentists treat so many cases of all types so you're not alone! Also, dentistry has come a long way where treatment that may have been "scary" or involved before are now quite ea...
Tricky question for sure. I'd like to be optimistic, but that probably wouldn't be fair. That fracture is fairly large. The likelyhood that you can have just a filling replace that tooth structure and have it last a long time is low. Also, the darkened color and nature of the tooth structure...
