I have just recently undergone my 3rd laser treatment session, and was unfortunately burnt by the technician. I thought it wasn't a big deal at first, but looking at my underarm area now has made me concerned. I was hoping someone can tell me how serious the burns are and what I need to do to prevent scarring or discoloration. Is there a chance for this to lighten still? Thank you.
Answer: Laser Hair Removal Thank you for your question. I would suggest returning to the clinic that treated you to discuss your case with the supervising physician. Most minor burns do heal without any residual hyperpigmentation. Others may lead to permanent scarring. All the best.

Answer: Laser treatment can lead to crusting and formation of scabs around the treated area. Thank you for your question. Laser treatment can lead to crusting and formation of scabs around the treated area. A mild bruising may also occur on sensitive skin. These side effects appear within the first few days of treatment and disappear shortly afterwards. You should use a skin healing ointment, such as cortisone cream on the burns to help prevent hyperpigmentation. Please remember it is important to stay out of the sun before and after treatment. If you still have any concerns, I recommend seeing your treating physician. Best of luck!

Answer: Laser Hair Removal Burn Treatment, will this lighten? Thanks for your question and sorry that you are having this concern. When did you have the treatment? Laser hair removal can cause just what you are showing after a treatment and with the proper skin soothing lotions, this resolves pretty fast. We would recommend speaking to your technician and perhaps seeing them to make sure that everything is superficial and that it will all resolve pretty easily.

Answer: Burn after LHR Thank you for sharing your picture. From the looks of your armpit, the burn is not severe. You should definitely notify your technician about it. In order to avoid permanent discoloration a prescription of Silvadene cream can be given. Normally something like this should be resolved within two weeks. From the looks of your picture I don't thing there will be any permanent damage.
