I had two implants placed about a month ago. I went back two weeks after the surgery for a check-up and the dentist said it was looking good but had a good bit of healing left to go. I've had problems with one previous implant (if you look at my picture, it's the site next to my actual tooth). I ended up having an implant removed and graft in a previous procedure. The oral surgeon convinced me to get two implants instead of one as he said it would be better for both of them. I thought that the implants should be completely covered but from my picture they aren't. At the same time, it doesn't actually look like the screw cover of the implant is exposed but rather something else? Can anyone tell me what I am looking at? I am concerned about some of the redness around the first implant site. I did have some bone shards sticking out and I think that one of them fell out and caused some minor bleeding. I've been using the prescription mouth rinse on the site with a cotton swab, per the dentist.
