I am 57 years old and I have jowls that need to be addressed. Would a thread-lift be enough to help me? Or what would you suggest? Thank you!

A combination approach would give the most improvement. Nonsurgical options such as Kybella, PDO NovaThreads, and Ultherapy do well in combination for skin tightening, but the results are mild compared to surgical options.

I would recommend a VASER Hi-Definition Liposuction with ThermiRF, Renuvion (J Plasma) and InMode BodyTite to contour and tighten the chin and neck. A neck lift can be performed at the same time, if you're a good candidate. I suggest seeing a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist to develop a personalized treatment plan that works for you. Threads can help, but to improve the jowly appearance significantly, this patient needs a multi-modality approach. Upon glancing at this photo, I would recommend:
1. PLA Thread lift in the lower face.2. Dermal Filler injected in the deep fat pads of the cheeks, which will contribute to lifting the lower face.3. An injectable collagen stimulator like Sculptra, to biostimulate and prop up any volume loss.
The result would be as dramatic as a surgical lift and the outcome could be expected to last for up to two years.
